FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A locally-owned cocktail lounge is opening later this month near downtown Fort Wayne, and its owners are planning a variety of ways to make the venue a place for the community to gravitate to. "The Abstract," located at 1126 Broadway in a part of town deemed the "arts di strict," is opening April 26, according to a press release from the owners. There will be upscale bar food with locally sourced ingredients alongside creative cocktails. The Abstract is moving into 1126 Broadway, which most recently used to house Astra Lounge. “The Abstract is designed to be more than just a place to grab a drink,” co-owner KyleDager said in the release. “We want to bring people together, support local artists, and provide an unforgettable experience through incredible food, drinks, and community-driven events.” The venue plans to host art shows, musical performances, sip-and-paint nights, and even a "thought-provoking lecture series," according to the release.
