Crash caused by cheeseburger slows northbound I69 traffic

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- A crash caused by a cheeseburger slowed traffic on I-69 Friday afternoon.
Shortly after 1 p.m. Friday, DeKalb County Sheriff's officers responded to a crash northbound on I-69 near the 337 mile marker, near the County Road 10 overpass.
According to the release
from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, the driver told officers that he was eating a McDonald's cheeseburger and looked down to find the last part of his burger in the wrapper when the vehicle drifted to the right lane. The front passenger side of the car then collided with the rear driver side of a semi-trailer, causing the driver to lose control and hit a guard rail.
The semi-trailer continued on and was unaware of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was in good condition, with only minor cuts to the hand.
In the release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, following the crash, the driver of the vehicle said, "he's had better burgers." The burger had no mustard, no ketchup, no onions and light on the pickles according to the release.
Traffic was slowed northbound for around an hour.
