AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Think of a way to to eat classics, like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and barbecue sauce, but without the "junk."
That's what Glen Powell -- Austin native, actor and producer -- reimagined when thinking of a way to do just that by creating a line of organic condiments with his ne
w team Smash Kitchen.
Smash Kitchen is Powell's new line of organic condiments that includes "non-GMO pantry essentials that bring wholesome, crave-worthy flavors without the junk," according to a news release from Smash Kitchen.

"Growing up around epic barbecue feasts at our family ranch in Texas, food was always an expression of love," Powell said in the release. "Through fitness, I became more aware and educated on better-for-you foods – and I started to see just how many questionable ingredients were hiding in everyday pantry staples. It was clear we needed to make a clean condiment brand– no second-guessing, just great flavors that connect us to the moments we love. For me, that's gathering around the table with family and friends."
Smash Kitchen condiments introduced "remixed flavors," like Organic Hot Honey Ketchup, Organic Spicy Mayonnaise and Organic Hot Honey BBQ Sauce, the release said. The condiments are now exclusively available nationwide at Walmart stores and Walmart.com.
Smash Kitchen condiments launched earlier this week with eight flavors of ketchup, mustard and mayo offered in two sizes priced between $2.17-$4.97, the release said.
The brand is founded by Powell, Sameer Mehta and Sean Kane. Their goal has "a core mission that better choices lead to better lives."
"Smash Kitchen is all about balance—real food, made better, without sacrificing flavor," said Sameer Mehta, co-founder and CEO of Smash Kitchen. "We weren't trying to reinvent ketchup or mustard; we just wanted them to taste the way they should, using high-quality, organic ingredients." ...read more read less
