New 165,000squarefoot community center opens Monday in Upper Arlington

UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) -- The city of Upper Arlington is getting ready to usher in a new era of wellness and connection with the grand opening of the Bob Crane Community Center.
It's the first time in Upper Arlington's 107-year history that residents will have a dedicated space beyond work
and home to enrich their daily lives.
The five-story, 165,000-square-foot facility will house fitness and sports programs, special programming, event spaces and more.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is also leasing space inside the community center, offering a variety of health and wellness services.
"We're really proud that this is a place to bring the community together so they can utilize the facility how they would like to utilize it," Parks and Rec Director Debbie McLaughlin said. "Our department offers a full array of recreational programs now in spaces designed for those programs."
There will be a ribbon cutting and open house Sunday afternoon, and the center will officially open to the public on Monday. ...read more read less
