Video: Previous coverage on spay and neuter clinic. BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is looking for volunteers in late April for its spay and neuter clinics. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 18. The clinics will be from April 25 to 27. N o-cost spay and neuter surgeries will be available to qualified pet owners. Different volunteer positions include: Set up volunteers on April 24 - Assisting with clinic and kennel setup Transport volunteers - Assist in moving animals in clinic area Recovery volunteers - Provide care and monitoring of animals post-surgery Data entry volunteers - Help with recording important information during clinic Instrument volunteers - Assist with sanitizing, packaging and preparing surgical instruments Kennel techs - Monitoring and caring for animals after surgery, cleaning kennels and ensuring animal safety Applicants must be 18 or older.
