LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) — A homicide suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting from Monday in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Cody Ramone, 21, is being charged with second-degree murder, according to New Mexico State Police. APD: Walmart shooting investigated as potential justifiable ho micide At about 1:30 p.m. on April 1, officers were dispatched to 5 Prairie Hill Road. They found Trevor Szalai lying on the ground with Ramone giving him aid. A shotgun was on the ground nearby. Szalai was pronounced dead on the scene. Agents learned the two men were in an argument that became physical before the shooting. A shotgun was brought out. The gun was fired at least once, striking Szalai.
