NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 21-year-old New Kent County man has been pleaded guilty to distributing narcotics and "consensual sex with a child 15 years or older" following an investigation by the sheriff's office. In February 2024, the New Kent County Sheriff's Office reportedly received infor mation regarding narcotics being distributed in the county's Brickshire neighborhood by 21-year-old Caleb Evans. Throughout March, investigators and partnering agencies held a narcotics investigation, which then led to a search warrant being carried out at Evans' home. According to officials, Evans' cell phone was seized in the search warrant. The sheriff's office said data found on the phone included photos and videos of minors engaged in sexual activity with Evans. On Wednesday, April 2, Evans pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing narcotics and eight counts of "consensual sex with a child 15 years or older." Officials said Evans also pleaded guilty to the distribution of narcotics in Henrico County.
