SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A large police presence gathered at an apartment complex at South Larch and 43rd Street and southwestern Sioux Falls after a man was stabbed early Friday morning.
During Friday's police briefing, spokesperson Sam Clemens said the 45-year-old victim was found in an ap

"We believe that there was some type of fight or altercation between two guys," Clemens said. "The deceased and then one other person. We've located that other person."
The other individual involved in the situation is not considered a suspect at this point. There have also been no arrests or charges.
An autopsy will be performed later on Friday to determine exact cause and time of death.
"I was just checking with the detectives before the briefing and they really don't have a whole lot of information," Clemens said. "They making progress, they're finding people, talking to people. Probably some of the key questions that people would have, we don't have answers to those yet."
Police are asking for anybody who lives in the area or has information to call police at 605-367-7212 or Sioux Falls Crime Stoppers at 877-367-7007.
The victim has been identified, but police are not yet releasing his name to the public.
This is the third homicide in Sioux Falls for 2025.
Since January, there have been at least 60 calls involving assault or disputes to the South Larch and West 43rd Street intersection. An apartment complex is at the that intersection.
