LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Crews are continuing to assess the damage left behind by severe storms that swept through Louisville Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
According to ABC affiliate WHAS 11, strong winds struck the Middletown area, particularly neighborhoods near the I-
64 and Gene Snyder Interchange on the city’s east end.
Officials say the storm caused significant damage, destroying a strip of businesses in Jeffersontown. Among the affected establishments were an education center and a daycare.
Authorities are working to evaluate the extent of the damage and initiate cleanup and recovery efforts. More updates will be provided as officials continue their assessment.
