Man charged with murder in Suitland shooting that left 2 dead, 1 hurt

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) announced that a man was charged with murder after a shooting in Suitland left two people dead and one person injured last week.
In an update on Thursday, police said Marc Carter, 31, of Temple Hil
ls, was charged with the murder of Antonio Magruder, 32, of District Heights and Darrell Mason, 56, of Suitland.
On the night of March 28, officers responded to the 4000 block of Silver Hill Road, where they found Magruder inside a business with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Officers also found Mason with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. Medics took him to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police noted that a third man sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the shooting.
As the investigation developed, police learned that Carter knew one of the victims. However, the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Police charged Carter with two counts of first and second-degree murder and several additional charges.
He is being held in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status. ...read more read less
