Felon caught selling drugs accessible to children in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man and a woman were arrested after the man was accused of selling drugs with the help of the woman - police say the drugs were accessible to children living in the home, the Porterville Police Department said.
Officers say they responded to a home in the 2300
block of W. Luisa Ave., on Wednesday at around 11:30 a.m. after detectives from the police department's narcotics unit developed information that Lenny Ray Cordon, 35, was involved in drug sales.
Police say they served an already authorized search warrant for the home and observed Cordon exit the home. Cordon was detained, and detectives also contacted Lessley Nicole Corden, 34, and she was also detained.
During the execution of the search warrant, detectives say they located a significant amount of methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, as well as various firearms, ammunition and evidence indicating Lenny was engaged in drug sales and Lessley had knowledge of this and assisted him with the sales.
The police department says it was also discovered during the search that all the items previously found were accessible to juveniles living in the home. It was determined that Lenny had previous drug-related convictions and was a convicted felon.
According to the Porterville Police Department, Lenny was booked at the TCSO South County Detention Facility under suspicion of the following:
Transportation of Narcotics for Sales
Possession of Fentanyl for Sale
Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Drugs with Prior Convictions
Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Previously-Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearms
Previously-Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition
Illegal Storage of Firearms
Child Endangerment
The police department says Lessley was also booked under suspicion of the following:
Possession of Fentanyl for Sale
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance

Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
