WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Police Department said a father was charged with child neglect after his son was allegedly found wandering around the city. 44-year-old Justin Dunbar was charged with with child endangerment. Police said they were called around 11 p.m. on March 29 for a re port of a six-year-old nearly being hit by a car near the Stadium Theater while walking “completely naked.” Officers said they learned that the boy had come from an apartment nearby, where they allegedly found Dunbar passed out with several empty beer cans near him. He allegedly told police that he didn’t know how his son had gotten out and that his son was autistic, and he had only gotten custody back for him six months prior due to a similar incident in March 2024.
