The Oxford Police Department says Oxford Utilities has been notified of the downed electrical poles.
Several other Mid-South towns experienced heavy damage after Wednesday night's severe weather. Residents of Slayden, Mississippi, in Marshall County woke up on Thursday morning to see their homes and vehicles damaged.
