NEMAHA COUNTY (KSNT) - The Nemaha County Sheriff's Office (NMSO) reports that a 7-year-old girl died in an ATV crash late last month.
At 5:56 p.m. on March 26, the NMSO was called to a report of an ATV crash two miles north of US 36 Highway. The sheriff's office reported that 7-year-old Emily Sa
uer was operating a 2022 Polaris Sportsman in an open field near US-36 Highway when the ATV rolled, trapping the child.
Sauer was taken to an area hospital but later died from her injuries, according to the NMSO. Sheriff Richard D. Vernon told 27 News that her next of kin had been notified.
