Motorcyclist rode wrong way on I295 during pursuit

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are searching for a man who led officers on a chase through multiple towns on Wednesday.
Woonsocket Chief Thomas Oates told 12 News that police were called to Social Street for a report of a man who was violating a no-contact order.
When officers tried to sto
p him, he fled on a motorcycle, according to Oates.

Officers pursued the rider through city streets into Cumberland and onto I-295, where they lost sight of him.
Dashcam video provided to 12 News showed the motorcycle traveling the wrong way on the highway at one point.
As of Thursday morning, the suspect had not been found.
Police said the suspect is also wanted on a felony warrant for aggravated sexual assault out of Massachusetts.
Massachusetts State Police is leading the investigation, according to Oates.
