FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)-Fort Wayne set a new daily rainfall record on April 2nd with 1.51", which nearly doubles a 42-year-old record of 0.83" (1983).

Most areas had well over one inch of rainfall. A weather observer in Huntertown, whic
h is in northwest Allen County, recorded 2.50"
Kendallville reported 1.80", closely followed by Auburn and Wabash.
Heavy rainfall was recorded across the area.
Angola reported 1.30" while Marion had .87" while Bluffton had 1.70"

These rainfall totals, combined with up to a half-inch from April 1st, take many places over 2" this week.
There's potential for more heavy rainfall late Friday night and early Saturday. Some areas could see 1 up to 3 inches.
Many area rivers are under flood warnings, and heavy rainfall will take river levels up to even higher levels.
