Cynthia Giumarra breaks down importance of stopping human trafficking

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — 17 News is once again teaming up with the non-profit Project Rescue for its annual "Red Bucket Day" to help stop human trafficking in Kern County.
Cythnia Giumarra, Project Rescue's organizer, joined 17 News at Sunrise to talk more about Red Bucket Day.

a hopes to bring awareness to the community regarding the human trafficking in Kern County. She also hopes to raise funds to help support local organizations such as the Kern Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
Human trafficking does not only occur overseas—it can happen anywhere. No country, no state, and no town are an exception.
To help support Red Bucket Day, stop by Compassion Corner here at the corner of 22nd and L streets from 7 to 9 a.m. on Friday, April 4, and for an $8-dollar donation you'll get a breakfast burrito.
You can call ahead for orders of 10 or more at 661-301-4681.
To make a donation, look for the red buckets at the Sully's Chevron on Coffee Road, Hodel's on Olive Drive, Luigi's, or at Compassion Corner.
