VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- Crews in Virginia Beach responded to an apartment complex fire in the northwestern Bayside area of the city overnight Thursday. According to officials, crews were dispatched to the Waterford Apartments in the 5500 block of Bantry Lane just after midnight for the repo rt of a multi-family commercial structure fire. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the two-story apartment complex. Courtesy-VBFD Courtesy-VBFD Residents were able to quickly evacuate the building. Crews put water on the fire and marked it out at 1:16 a.m. Eight people are displaced as a result of the fire and eight units were affected by the fire. No injuries were reported.
