YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman has died in a home after a drive-by shooting in Franklin County on Tuesday night, Franklin County officials said. The incident was reported before 9:45 p.m. in southwestern Franklin County at a residence on Bert Winston Road in Youngsville. According to the Franklin County Sheriff, Kevin White, investigators arrived on the scene and found a "deceased elderly woman" located inside the home. Multiple shell casings were located in the road and multiple bullet holes were observed in the residence, according to the sheriff. A large fire at a vehicle recycling business took place in the same area nearly two weeks ago. Tuesday night, Franklin County officials said several first responders were at the scene of the deadly shooting, investigating what led to the incident.
