An e-bike rider clung to life for nearly a week before dying after being struck by two drivers in Queens last month, police said Wednesday. Jorman Esparza-Olivares, 23, was on the e-bike heading north on 63rd Drive approaching Queens Blvd. in Rego Park just before 5:30 p.m. March 19, according to co ps. At the same time, a 60-year-old man behind the wheel of a Ford SUV and a 54-year-old man driving a Mercedes Benz were traveling east on Queens Blvd. and slammed into Esparza-Olivares as he entered the intersection. It wasn’t clear if any of the men involved in the crash ran a red light, according to a police spokesperson. Esparza-Olivares suffered head and body trauma in the crash. Medics rushed him Elmhurst Medical Center, where he clung to life for nearly a week, before dying on March 25. Both drivers remained on the scene and were not immediately facing charges.
