FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An award-winning National Geographic photographer is coming to Fresno City College later this month. College officials say Nevada Wier, a National Geographic photographer who specializes in documenting the remote corners of the world and the cultures inhabiting them, will be a featured guest speaker at the Fresno City College annual Hanna S. Barsam Excellence in Photography Award reception. Organizers say Wier was published in various international and national publications, including National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Adventure, Geo, Islands and the NY Times Magazine. She will be a speaker during the awards ceremony on April 24 at 7 p.m. at Fresno City College in the Old Administration building, Room OAB-251.
