AVENAL, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Avenal's first sensory park will be opening later this month, and the city will be hosting a special celebration. The city says in honor of National Autism Acceptance Month, they are proud to unveil an inclusive space designed to engage all the senses. "Provide a welcoming environment for community members of all abilities," the city said in a social media post. According to the city, the project represents its commitment to creating inclusive spaces where everyone in the community can connect, play and thrive together.
