Raising Cane’s opens first location in San Jose, sixth in Bay Area

(KRON) -- The newest Bay Area Raising Cane's is now open in San Jose. The restaurant opened on Tuesday, April 1 at 2394 Evergreen Place; it is the first location in the South Bay and sixth overall in the Bay Area.
The Raising Cane's is located at Evergreen Place and E. Capitol Expressway -- a busy
shopping intersection that is also home to a Costco. The restaurant opens as part of a shopping plaza in a development called the "Evergreen Circle Project."
Hours for the San Jose Raising Cane's are 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday to Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. on Thursday to Saturday.
The grand opening was met with much anticipation as campers with tents were seen outside the restaurant. Even with rain pouring that morning, at least dozens of customers showed up. Photos of the opening can be viewed below.

Oakland establishment named best restaurant in US by Food & Wine
KRON4 first reported about Raising Cane's plans to open in San Jose in February 2024. The restaurant held its grand opening a little more than a year later in April 2025.
Even San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan enjoyed a plate of Raising Cane's signature chicken fingers, he posted on his Facebook page.
With this week's San Jose opening, Raising Cane's continues its aggressive and rapid Bay Area expansion. Since opening its first restaurant in the Bay Area in 2022, the Louisiana-based chain has opened six locations and is planning to open more in the region.
Raising Cane's announced plans to open in San Francisco's Stonestown Galleria in 2026. In February, Raising Cane's purchased a building in Berkeley for $12.7 million with intentions to eventually open near the UC Berkeley campus -- although nothing is official yet.
