Preschool evacuated following gas line rupture in SF’s Bayshore neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A preschool was evacuated Wednesday after a gas line ruptured in San Francisco's Bayshore neighborhood. The rupture, which occurred on Sunnydale Avenue between Hahn and Santos streets, occurred around 11:30 a.m., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

ific Gas and Electric are on the scene along with an SFFD engine company and battalion chief. There were no immediate reports of injuries. According to SFFD, PG&E shut off the gas line.

A nearby preschool was evacuated, according to its safety plan, SFFD said. All students and staff are reportedly safe.
Shelter in place advisories were issued to addresses between 1505 and 1535 Sunnydale Avenue. However, as of 1:30 p.m., those advisories have been lifted, SFFD said.
