Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said a woman driving a golf cart died after she was hit by a truck crossing a road in Sun City Center.FHP said a truck was traveling east on Sun City Boulevard around 8 a.m. Wednesday.The truck faile d to stop at a red traffic signal at Pebble Beach Blvd and hit a 71-year-old woman who was on the golf cart attempting to cross the road on a green light.The woman was taken to the hospital but later died from injuries in the crash.The driver of the truck was not injured.The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office closed eastbound lanes at Sun City Center Boulevard near Pebble Beach Boulevard while investigating the crash. ...read more read less
