While today’s been below average temperature-wise, at least it’s been sunny… for the most part! Clouds are rolling in now though, and so begins a few big changes in the weather.
We’re working our way into a warmer but wetter pattern for the end of the week. It starts with showers, scatter
ed at first, but becoming more widespread overnight as a warm front rolls into southern New England. We have the potential for a wintry mix into parts of northern Providence County and northern Bristol County not far from midnight, but expect mostly rain as we head into Thursday morning.
We’ll continue to see scattered showers throughout the day on Thursday with some pockets of heavy rain at times. High temperatures will be in the mid 50s to low 60s.
On Thursday night, we get the final “flourish” of this system with a cold front that will drive heavy rain and gusty winds at times. While we could see a few showers linger on Friday morning, the heavy stuff will be gone before the morning commute. On the bright side, the rest of the day Friday looks relatively decent. We’ll be breezy at times and cloudy for some of the afternoon, but we’ll see a bit more sun later in the day, and temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.
Saturday, we’re back to scattered showers and cooler air. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s. Sunday will also be a little wet, with showers continuing, but highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s.
