INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after a shooting on Indy's near northwest side, according to police.
IMPD Northwest District officers were called just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 900 block of W. 32nd Street on report of a person shot. Upon arrival at the scene, a residential area near I-65 an
d Dr. MLK Jr. Street, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police officials said the man was pronounced dead on scene. Detectives believe that the shooting had occurred down the street from where the man was found and that he was looking for assistance before he died. They believe a "disturbance" between the victim and someone he knew led to the shooting.
While IMPD Capt. Shane Foley said detectives believe they have potential suspect information, none of those details were released. Anyone with information on the shooting or its potential suspects is being asked to call 911, CrimeStoppers or IMPD's homicide office.
FOX59/CBS4 has a crew on the way to the scene to gather more information. This article will be updated when more details are confirmed. ...read more read less
