Lancaster man could serve lifetime prison sentence for raping minor

LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) -- A 36-year-old man from Lancaster could serve a life sentence in prison after being convicted of raping a minor.
Thomas Stanley received a 40 years to life prison sentence Wednesday on four counts of raping a minor under the age of 13, the Fairfield County Prosecutor's Of
fice announced. The sentence comes after a near two-week jury trial that resulted in Stanley's conviction.

He was indicted in February of 2024 after the victim informed members of the Harcum House Child Advocacy Center in Lancaster. Sheriff's office detectives in Fairfield County obtained a search warrant for Stanley's home and found evidence corroborating to what the victim told officials.
As part of his lengthy prison sentence, Stanley will have to register as a sex offender if he is ever released. He will serve his sentence at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. ...read more read less
