LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning on Winchester Road. The coroner says 64-year-old Woodrow Flinchum of Fayette County died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries s ustained in the collision. He was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Emergency Department. As previously reported, Lexington police say the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. in the area of 2851 Winchester Road, between Polo Club Boulevard and Man O’ War Boulevard. Investigators previously stated that the driver involved was uninjured, and criminal charges were not expected. The incident remains under investigation.
