WHITE COUNTY, Ind. -- A teacher at the Twin Lakes School Corporation in Monticello has been suspended after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. According to a news release from Debbie Metzger, the school corporation's superintendent, the investigation into the a lleged incident began on April 1 after a report was filed. Metzger said the corporation shared the report of the alleged relationship with the Indiana Department of Child Services and local law enforcement. Metzger confirmed the teacher has since been suspended as a recommendation to terminate their employment with the school corporation is pending. "The welfare and safety of our students is the top priority of the Twin Lakes School Corporation," Metzger said in the release. "As such, the School Corporation has been and will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement and the Indiana Department of Child Services in this matter."
