El Paso Police officer wanted on assault charges arrested, Sheriff's Office says

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso Police officer was recently arrested after he was wanted on multiple charges including assault, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office says its Fugitive Apprehension Unit apprehended Gerardo Reyes Jr., 37, who was wanted on
multiple charges including two counts of assault causing bodily injury to a family member and one count of interfering with an emergency request for assistance.
Reyes was taken into custody and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $12,500 bond on Tuesday, April 1. He posted bond the same day, according to Jail Records.
Jail records also show that the alleged offenses took place in July 2023. ...read more read less
