SLED asking for public’s help identifying human remains found in December 2023

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the Sumter County Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying human remains that was discovered in December of 2023.
According to SLED agents,
the remains were found back in December 2023 near St. Paul’s Church Road and Economy Lane in Sumter County.
And are believed to be an African American male, around 40 years old or older.
It is estimated that his remains had been in the area for decades prior to being found.
