(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The man accused of killing a University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) music professor had previous charge
s, including an incident where he allegedly kidnapped his mother.
According to court documents, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue in Fountain on reports of assault on July 12, 2024. Upon arrival, a deputy met with the victim, a 70-year-old woman, at a nearby address located on Jimmy Camp Road.

The victim reported that her son, Ceasar Wilson, had attacked her. The victim claimed that Wilson "just went crazy" while they were having a conversation about family and slapped her across the face. Papers state that the victim walked out of the house to her car in the driveway, but Wilson followed her and grabbed her before she could get in the vehicle.
After that, the victim said Wilson slapped her in the face again, causing her to pass out. She said he then grabbed her by the right arm and dragged her inside.
Wilson then allegedly locked all the doors and put tape on the windows. According to the arrest affidavit, the victim went to get a cup of water when she noticed Wilson was outside in his car. At that time, the victim took the opportunity to pry the back door open with a screwdriver and run out the door. Wilson ran after her, but she ran to the backyard and climbed over a fence. She was able to get to the neighbor's on Jimmy Camp Road.
A deputy tried to contact Wilson, who refused to answer the door and was yelling from a front window. When asked to open the door and talk, he refused and said, "She does this all the time. She put these accusations on my little brother." He then said he would bring the victim's purse to the door and placed it on the front steps.
Court documents state that at that time, the responding deputy and a Fountain Police Department officer attempted to push the door to detain Wilson, but he pushed the door closed and told law enforcement he would use pepper spray from the windows.
Containment was set up, and tactical support was requested. Deputies were able to make contact with Wilson and after about an hour, he exited the home and was taken into custody.
Wilson was once again arrested on March 27, 2025, for the alleged murder of 54-year-old Haleh Abghari, who taught at UCCS. Wilson was arrested almost eight months after the incident occurred. At the time of his arrest, Wilson was discovered to have been in custody on unrelated charges in a different county under a different name. ...read more read less
