COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A recent study has revealed the most unusual baby name in Ohio and each state across the country.
Go Au Pair, an agency that helps match au pairs with host families, analyzed Social Security Administration data sourced from 2000 to 2023 to find the most unusual baby na
me in each state.
Specifically, the company defined the most unusual name in each state as those with a frequency of exactly five births from 2000 to 2023, appearing at the bottom of each state's name database. The Social Security Administration's data excludes names with fewer than five births to protect individuals' privacy.

In Ohio, Firman was the most unusual name in the state, with five babies boasting the name. Out of the 12 babies named Firman in America from 2000 to 2023, 41.67%, were from Ohio. Other rare names among Ohioans were Atlus and Bilol, the study found.
