ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — One driver is dead and another is injured after a car crash on Clifford Avenue. Around midnight on Wednesday, according to investigators, a car heading west on Clifford Avenue moved to the eastbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. Both cars were severely damaged. The drivers from both vehicles were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. The driver in the vehicle that was struck, a 58-year-old man, died from his injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle, a woman in her 30s, is hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation by the Major Crimes Homicide Unit. RPD clarifies that no charges have been filed at this time.
