Teen convicted of 15yearold's murder on Alphonse Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 17-year-old was found guilty of the 2023 murder of a 15-year-old in a house on Alphonse Street.
On February 23, 2023, the Rochester Police Department found the victim, Suade McKnight, dead with a gunshot wound to his forehead.
Investigators determined that Raymere
Alexander broke into the house with 19-year-old Brandon Williams and got into a fight with McKnight. This resulted in Alexander shooting and killing McKnight. Both suspects were arrested.
“Both Raymere Alexander and Brandon Williams broke into a house with the intention of promoting violence," said Monroe County DA Sandra Doorley. "Today’s conviction is a much-needed resolution for the grieving loved ones of Suade McKnight.”
Alexander was convicted on Tuesday of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Williams previously pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
Alexander's sentencing is scheduled for May 30, 2025. Williams will be sentenced on May 9. ...read more read less
