WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The man accused of crashing into a worksite on I-91 north in West Springfield and killing three workers is expected to be back in court on Wednesday.  West Springfield Public Library showcases artwork of students in transitional program The Hampden Coun ty District Attorney's Office stated that three workers repairing damaged guardrails on I-91 North when, at approximately 12:45 a.m., a 2021 Jeep Cherokee took Exit 10A at a high rate of speed and struck and killed three men. The Jeep came to a rest on its roof in the middle of the ramp. The driver ran away from the crash, and it was determined that the vehicle was registered to 29-year-old Bilal Griffith of West Springfield. A multi-agency search was conducted and an Air Wing helicopter found Griffith on Morgan Road after a chase that continued for over half a mile. The victims were identified as 26-year-old Igor Costa of Marlborough, 48-year-old Ryan Almeida of Brockton, and 57-year-old Raul Bohorquez of Brockton. The men worked for a company called Premier Fence. Griffith was arraigned in Springfield District Court on Friday for three counts of manslaughter and one count of leaving the scene of personal injury or death. A not-guilty plea was entered on his behalf, and his bail was set at $1 million. He is expected in Springfield District Court on Wednesday for a status hearing.
