GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested one juvenile after a search of the home revealed he had fired a gun illegally. On April 1, 2025, GCPD patrol responded to a report of gunshots heard near the area of Emanuel Avenue and Fifth Street. Upon arrival, of ficers located 23 spent shell casings in the backyard of a residence in the 3500 block of Norwich Street. Once entering the home, officers discovered three individuals, one adult and two juveniles, who were detained and transported to the GCPD Headquarters for further investigation. During interviews, it was determined that one of the juveniles had a firearm and discharged it in the backyard. A search warrant was obtained for the residence to search for ammunition, firearms and to collect gunshot residue. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives located a handgun with an unspent round chambered. The firearm matched the shell casings that were recovered from the backyard. One of the juveniles was arrested and charged with the following delinquent acts: Reckless Conduct Possession of a Handgun by a Person Under the Age of 18.
