WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — In Clark County, iconic lampposts have been removed ahead of the upcoming Main Street, High Side construction project in downtown Winchester. According to city officials, crews will be renovating the High Side of Main Street between Broadway and Lexington Avenu e. Officials say the city’s iconic five-globe lampposts were removed yesterday for storage and will be returned after construction is complete. According to the city, safety fences will go up next Monday, and demolition is scheduled to begin the week of April 14th.
