CHARLOTTE, NC – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was hurt after a car crashed into a patrol car Wednesday morning in East Charlotte. Officials say it happened when the officer was doing a traffic stop for an alleged fake tag on Winterfield Place around 2 a.m. The car fled without headlight s, hitting the officer head-on.
