GATES, N.Y. (WROC) – A man in his 70s is injured following a crash involving two vehicles on Route 531 in Gates. According to the Monroe County Sheriffs Office, deputies responded to the East Bound Lane on Route 531 near Route 490 in Gates for the report of the crash. The man in his 70s wa s transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was a woman in her 30s. She was ticketed at the scene of the accident. MCSO did note that they believe speed played a factor in the accident. Drugs and alcohol are nor believed to be involved at this time.
