Tennis ball sized hail possible with NE Kansas severe thunderstorms

Update 11:15 p.m.: The tornado warnings for Clay and Dickinson Counties has expired. Severe thunderstorm warnings are still in effect for Brown, Clay, Dickinson, Geary, Marshall, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties.
Update 11:05 p.m.: Tornado warnings for Clay and Dickinson Counties have been issued
until 11:30 p.m. Flash flood warnings have been issued for Clay, Geary and Riley Counties. The NWS has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Clay, Dickinson, Geary, Marshall, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties until 12:00 a.m.
Update 10:47 p.m.: The National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Marshall, Nemaha and Pottawatomie Counties until 11:15 p.m. The warning for Riley County has been cancelled. Tornado warnings for Dickinson and Ottawa Counties are in effect until 11 p.m.
Update 10:25 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warnings for Pottawatomie and Riley Counties has been issued until 11:15 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warnings for Anderson, Coffey, Franklin and Osage Counties continue until 10:45 p.m.
Update 10:06 p.m.: The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Anderson, Coffey, Franklin and Osage Counties until 10:45 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warnings continue for Clay, Geary, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties until 10:30 p.m.
Update 10 p.m.: The tornado warning is now expired. Severe thunderstorm warnings continue for Clay, Geary, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties until 10:30 p.m.
Update 9:45 p.m.: The tornado warning continues for Clay and Geary Counties and is now cancelled for Dickinson County.
Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Clay, Geary, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties until 10:30 p.m.; the severe thunderstorm warnings for Republic and Washington Counties have expired. These severe thunderstorm warnings come with the possibility of golf ball sized hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
Update 9:27 p.m.: The National Weather Service extended the tornado warning for Dickinson County, and issued tornado warnings for Clay and Geary Counties until 10 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warnings for Clay, Dickinson and Ottawa Counties until 9:45 p.m.

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Tennis ball sized hail, and strong winds gusts are possible as parts of northeast Kansas is issued severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday.
Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for multiple Counties in northeast Kansas. The NWS issued tornado warnings for Dickinson and Ottawa Counties and severe thunderstorm warnings for Cloud and Republic Counties.
These warnings come with the possibility of tennis ball sized hail, gusts up to 70 miles per hour and may be capable of producing a tornado. The tornado warning is in effect until 9:45 p.m. Tuesday evening, and the severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9:45 p.m.
After the severe weather moves through northeast Kansas, 27 News Storm Track Chief Meteorologist Matt Miller anticipates mostly sunny weather for Wednesday, April 2.
