Wind advisory for New York until Thursday morning – gusts as high as 50 mph

On Wednesday at 2:44 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from 5 p.m. until Thursday 6 a.m. for Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison and Cortland counties.The weather service states, “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
