CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — Cumberland and Lincoln Animal Control said the “severely matted dog” that was rescued in February has been improving and is getting ready to be put up for adoption.
In a social media post, the shelter said Spencer is “feeling and looking so much better and is lea
rning to trust humans again.”
On Feb. 16, Spencer was found at the CVS on Broad Street in “deplorable condition,” according to Animal Control.
Since then, Cumberland Animal Control said Spencer has had “remarkable” progress, adding that he enjoys playing and treats, and will give his paw.
However, the shelter said he “has a way to go” and will need a patient adopter.
Spencer is getting ready for adoption, and the shelter will announce when it is time to accept applications.
