UPDATE: NM roads in Las Cruces, Deming have reopened

UPDATE: All highways in the Deming and Las Cruces area that were closed because of high wind have reopened, the New Mexico Department of Transportation said. Driving conditions remain difficult, NMDOT said.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Multiple roads in the Deming and Las Cruces area are currently be
ing affected by high winds and zero visibility on Tuesday, April 1, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) said.
Interstate 10 eastbound from mile marker 0 at the Arizona state line to mile marker 20 (Lordsdburg West) has reopened, but driving conditions are still considered difficult.
I-10 West outside of Las Cruces, however, is closed at mile marker 132, which is about 3 miles west of Las Cruces. Shelter-in-place locations in Las Cruces are the City of Las Cruces, truck stops or the Las Cruces airport.
The following roads are currently closed in the Deming area, according to NMDOT:
Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 81 (Deming West) to mile marker 102 (Akela).
NM 549 is closed at milepost 0 to milepost 18. All traffic is being diverted into Deming.
NM 9 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 89, Columbus to Santa Teresa (NM 136).
NM 11 northbound and southbound from mile marker 5, 1 mile north of Columbus, to mile marker 33, Deming.
NM 26 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 0 to mile maker 44, 3 miles west of Hatch.
NMDOT said shelter in place locations for the Deming area are the Deming Learning Center, 5R Truck Stop, Deming Truck Stop, and Deming soccer fields.
