(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs announced that the Cheyenne Road bridge west of Cresta Road will be closed from Thursday, April 3, through Friday, April 11, for maintenance work. According to the city, the Cheyenne Road bridge sits about 200 ft. west of Cresta Road, where work is currently being done on the Cresta Road Bridge, as of Tuesday, April 1. According to the City, work on the Cresta Road bridge should be finished on April 2 before work on the Cheyenne Road bridge begins. Courtesy: City of Colorado Springs Work on the Cheyenne Road bridge will include waterproofing the bridge structure, replacing the pavement, and other repairs. The work is expected to extend the service life of the bridge and limit future repairs and road closures. Drivers should give themselves extra time to take alternate routes during construction. The maintenance work will happen before 2C's repaving in the area this summer.
