The City of Colorado Springs shared a
post about the Manitou Incline and a new change that will make the landmark more accessible and easier to reach the summit to enjoy the view. The City said an escalator will be installed along the 2,768-step climb. Construction of the escalator, according to the post, is set to begin the week after April Fools' Day and would be completed in 2026.

The Downtown Partnership shared that due to complaints from locals, ranging from creepy design, an increase in accidents, and suggesting their presence caused an "eggsistential crisis," all Humpty Dumpty sculptures would be removed from Downtown starting on April 1.
As part of the "taxpayer-funded" project, the bronze eggs will be melted down and repurposed into something locals find less disturbing. One proposed sculpture would be a stack of pancakes honoring the Western Street Breakfast.

Even local animal shelters used the opportunity to reveal some surprising information about how their social media is run. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) shared that its social media was being run by three orange cats in a trench coat and introduced the public to the team.
Turtle is the Chaos Gremlin who is behind the memes, jokes, and pop culture references. HSPPR said they are concerned about his screen time as he has the media knowledge of a 21-year-old girl and a 75-year-old grandpa. HSPPR has tried to intervene and has failed.
Wilbert is the quiet, brainy one who is the researcher behind HSPPR's informative posts about pet safety, enrichment, and wellness. HSPPR said he originally applied for a job in accounting, but they decided it would be a bad idea to trust an orange cat with financial records. He lives in a cubby surrounded by spreadsheets and catnip.
Spaghetti is the one responsible for making people cry at work. He writes all the heartfelt, emotional posts, and he also cries while writing them. Unfortunately, as the top cat of the trench coat, his sobbing drips onto Turtle and Wilbert.
