One dead after highrise apartment fire in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (DC News Now) -- Crews were at a high-rise apartment for a fire on Tuesday afternoon.
In a post on the X platform just after 4 p.m., the Anne Arundel County Fire Department (AACoFD) said that units were responding to 130 Hearn Rd. for the fire. Annapolis Fire Department (AFD) units
responded as well.
As of the time of that post, AACoFD said that the fire was under control.
Police investigating ‘suspicious death’ in Laurel
In an update around 4:30 p.m., AACoFD reported that the fire had happened in an apartment on the 10th floor.
One person died.
Investigators were working to determine what caused the fire, and inspectors were still at the scene to determine whether or not the building was safe. ...read more read less
