Wayne County sex offender arrested on Child Pornography charges

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A Wayne County sex offender has been arrested on Child Pornography Charges.
According to prosecutors, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received information from Microsoft on March 14, 2024, stating an individual uploaded nine files of suspected ch
ild pornography to a Microsoft platform.
NCMEC turned information over to the New York State Police who allegedly traced the information back to 26-year-old Joseph Hudson.
A search warrant was executed at Hudson's home where a computer was seized. Following the search, forensic examination allegedly recovered around 198 images and 112 videos of child pornography depicting the sexual abuse of prepubescent minors. Some of the images also included violence against children.
Hudson was previously convicted in New York State Court of Sexual Abuse (1st) for engaging in sexual contact with a child less that 11-years-old.
Hudson was charged with Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography following a previous conviction. The charges carry a minimum penalty of 15-years in prison with a maximum 40-years and a $250,000 fine.
Hudson appeared before a U.S. Judge and was held pending a detention hearing. ...read more read less
