FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Central Unified School Board Trustee Nabil Kherfan said it's not about immigration status; it's about creating a safe space where students feel comfortable learning.
"So, I don't care whether a student is a U.S. Citizen, or whether they're undocumented, or w

Kherfan said rapid response messages would be sent to students via the schools' Parent Square app.
"We would send out a notification to all the parents in our district very soon after so that they can be aware of what's going on in our community and make plans accordingly," he said.
Kherfan said their goal is that all students within their district feel protected. ...read more read less
